Immediately after surgery there can be a little irritation from the incisions.   Some surgeons put a patch on the eye.  We do not.  After surgery you will  wear a shield while sleeping and use eye drops and for the first week to decrease inflammation and prevent an infection.  You will return for follow up visits one day, one week and 3 months after surgery.  If you have a cataract in your other eye and it is causing problems with your vision, you may choose to have this treated as well.  Make sure you let us know if your other eye is giving you problems.  At one week you will be tested for glasses for fine tuning and we will change your drops.  The new drops will be used for about 3 more weeks or until they are gone.
